She made her professional debut at age 18 with the publication of her first and national award-winning novel, Buck, and has been "wowing with words" ever since. An independent communications consultant since 1997, Tamela has forwarded her clients' growth and marketing goals for more than 17 years in roles such as vice president of communications, communications director, board member, communications and business manager, editor, speaker, author, and advisor.

Ode Minton-Smith's award-winning graphic design and marketing communications experience has helped her clients' businesses shine for over 15 years. Her industry acumen and talent as a designer and art director has made a splash at international corporations including Intel and Menlo Worldwide, as well as regional and entrepreneurial ventures such as Dakota Stores, Encompass Teleservices, Oregon Public Broadcasting, Rose Schnitzer Manor, and Yami Yogurt.
